I was blessed with many contributions from our members. Charley Dyer kept us up-to-date on the happenings of the Self Represented Litigation Network. Jacqueline Cantwell contributed a series of insightful columns (“Add Two Books and Stir Well..” v. 34, n. 1 and “Profiling at the Reference Desk: Another Viewpoint” v. 34, n. 2). Kathleen Sasala told us about podcasting on the cheap (“Podcasting on a Zero Budget” v. 33, n.3) and Rita Kaiser educated us about instruction in your bunny slippers in “How to Train without Having to Show Up” (v. 34, n.1). Our members look to the newsletter to learn about what is happening with SCCLL members around the country. This year, we featured profiles of Gallagher award winners Carol Billings (v. 34, n.2) and Cosette Sun (v. 33, n. 3) and Bolden award winner Jean Holcomb (v. 34, n.2). Sara Galligan wrote about meeting with representatives from Thomson West at the 2007 Annual Meeting (“Specific West Title Concerns” v. 33, n.3) and we learned from Steve Mirsky about the actions of a group of courageous Connecticut librarians in “How CT Librarians Said No to PATRIOT Act Demands and Why It Matters Today” (v. 33, n.3). Thank you to all the SCCLL members who contributed items for the newsletter. This will be my last committee report as, after three years as editor, I am handing the reins over to Jennifer Dalglish of the Clackamas County Law Library.
